Layish made aliyah with her family, from Ethiopia, in 1990,
when she was 4 years old. She attended the regular schools
system. Following her military service, at the Hatzor Air
Base, she looked for work and started her career path at a
launderette in the city, where she learned the profession.
When she decided to become self-employed she consulted
the owner of the launderette and told him she wanted to open her own business.
Originally, Layish thought of opening a bakery, but the launderette owner tried to dissuade her from that field, and
explained to her the benefits of opening a launderette. That’s how she got into the sector on her own.
