ABOUT THE BUSINESS:
Cliques – a fitness club for women, operates an integrated
training system. It combines strength (muscle) with
heart-lung (aerobic) training. Only half an hour of this
kind of training is the equivalent of an hour and a half
training at a regular fitness facility.
The club was established with the emphasis on the
needs of ultra-orthodox women. The venue was carefully
chosen, so that it is not open to the main road, and to
allow the women who go there to train, to enter and exit
comfortably and discretely.
In addition, the music played at the club is appropriate for
the style of the ultra-orthodox world. The club appeals to
women and girls alike, all from the ultra-orthodox sector.
The club operates 9 hours daily, and also on motsei Shabbat,
with several circles running concurrently. Each participant
enters a circle and times her 30 minutes of training herself.
Naturally, every 5 minutes there is a musical interval which
marks the transition to the next station.
Giti would like to thank the UJA Federation of
New York Loan Fund for Israel for its support
for establishing the health club. The club
already has close to 150 subscription members
and its reputation is spreading. The fund’s
assistance has helped Giti turn a dream into
reality. Today, in Bnei Barak, any woman
looking for a fitness club knows that women
keep fit at Cliques!!
