ABOUT THE BUSINESS:
Tal’s and Ma’ayan’s shared love of gymnastics led to them
joining forces in 2009, when they opened Gilgulim. They
ran gymnastics activities at 9 sports centers, cultural
centers, and community centers in the Misgav region, but
dreamed of opening a high-quality facility of their own to
offer a solution for groups of gymnasts on different levels.
In the summer of 2013, Tal and Ma’ayan rented premises in
the industrial area of Karmiel and opened Gilgulim – The
Academy of Gymnastics Excellence. The center includes
an Olympian gymnastics floor, 3 beams, 2 landing pits,
parallel bars, springboards, etc.
Around 150 children are registered for activities, including
acrobatics, gymnastics for pre-schoolers, training for
competition, etc. The business employs 7 fitness trainers
and 5 other paid instructors. The hall is also sublet to
trainers of other athletics. Tal and Ma’ayan have also
established a non-profit organization aimed at training
professional gymnasts and reaching Olympic standards.
Tal and Ma’ayan wish to thank the
Pittsburgh Loan Fund for its support and
note that the loan they received greatly
facilitated the process of establishing the
center, and provided the business with a
considerable boost.
