The entrepreneurs operate a visitors’ center at the
brewery which draws a large number of people. They are
also planning on participating in culinary tours which
take place in the area.
The two partners have a clear division of areas of
responsibility: the entrepreneurs brew, pour, and bottle
the beers together. Yaron is in charge of customer
recruitment and finding new pubs in the center and north
of Israel. Amir finds customers in the Jerusalem area and
installs taps at the various enterprises.
The partners have big ambitions, and hope that the small
business will develop and take its place as a quality offering
in restaurants and pubs, and in stores that sell alcohol.
Currently, Mosco sells 3 beer flavors; Red Mosco Beer – a
strong red beer which incorporates flavors of roasted
malt and nuts that produce a slightly bitter earthy taste.
Blond Mosco Beer – a strong light beer. This is a refreshing
summer beer with a fruity flavor and hints of grapefruit
that make it suitable for the Israeli climate. Wheat
Beer – a strong wheat beer, cloudy and refreshing, with
fruity flavors and a lingering aftertaste, which is made
exclusively with natural ingredients. This beer undergoes
a second fermentation process in the bottle and is not
filtered. This retains the natural flavors.
Amir and Yaron would like to thank the
UJA Federation of New York Entrepreneurial
Fund for Jerusalem for its assistance with
establishing the brewery, and for enabling
them to take another step towards
establishing a quality brewery
in Mateh Yehuda.
