Be’er Sheva – a Microcosm of Israeli Society
A sociological review of Israeli society using Be’er Sheva as a
case study. The session will cover religious, ethnic, ideological,
socio-economic and national perspectives, showing how they are
reflected in Be’er Sheva – a fascinating city that is home to a variety
                          of populations.

How Did Israel Become the Start-Up Nation?
An anthropological overview of Israeli and Jewish creativity. We will
discuss different studies about the “Jewish mind” and talk about
historical and anthropological factors that can explain Israel's
                          development into the Start-Up Nation.

Pluralism, Rifts and Diversity in Israeli Society
We will discuss pluralism as a concept, a goal and a state of mind in
a postmodern society. Then we will focus on Israel as a case study,
a society in which pluralism is a core principle, yet with rifts caused
                          by great diversity.
